About Us

Army College of Medical Science (ACMS), New Delhi is one of the premier institutes for students wanting to study Medical Science. Army College of Medical Sciences came into existence in the year 2008. It is also known as ACMS. The Army College of Medical Science facilitates quality undergraduate medical education to wards of serving and retired Indian Army Personnel. It is a premier medical college in India, under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society. ACMS is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University New Delhi. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and has the capacity of 100 UG student admissions per year. ACMS's main objective is to undertake the responsibility of social accountability by indulging in several community-based activities and research intended to improve the existing quality of life of residents of the Delhi Cantonment. ACMS is accredited as an A Medical College and admissions in the College are carried out by the University. They offer only an MBBS course degree as of now.

The students have to study for 4.5 years and the rest of the time they have to attend compulsory internships at the hospital for their experience of work and becoming ready to face the world with their knowledge and empathy. The placement cell is pretty active here they offer various opportunities to the students, most of them are either government or private hospitals across the country they also offer a great package to the students. It is one of the Top 25 medical colleges in India. To be a doctor most important thing is a one-year internship and the college provides a one-year complete internship. After completion of the course, one can join the Indian Army. If one qualifies NEET PG they get a stipend of 97000.

The infrastructure of the college is very well built. Labs are fully furnished. Classrooms have nice projectors and air-conditioning facility. Apart from the college, hostel facilities are also good. Rooms are shared by two students. The food served in the mess is good. There are good facilities for games. The infrastructure of the Army College of Medical Sciences is very good, and the Delhi metro pink line is just in front of it. There are various departments in the college building along with a library and administrative building. The hostel premises are very green with separate hostels for boys and girls.
