- Professor Teimuraz Koridze founded the Society for the Social Protection of Those Who Left the Communist Party.
- Initiated the movement towards intellectual and ideological independence from communism in Georgia.

- Based on the earlier society, the "Support and Upliftment" Society was established.
- The goal: to promote freedom, youth involvement, and transition to a free-market economy.
- With the blessing of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, the David Agmashenebeli Tbilisi Engineering and Economic Institute was founded – first private higher education institution in Georgia.

- Single-level (Professional Postgraduate): Medicine and Dentistry.

- Doctoral: Medicine and Economics.
