College of Engineering (LDCE), Ahmedabad, is a premier government engineering institute in the State of Gujarat, set with the objectives of imparting higher education, research and training in various fields of engineering & technology. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, approved by AICTE and administered by Directorate of Technical education, Government of Gujarat.

The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, approved by AICTE and administered by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat. The institute was established in June 1948 with a generous donation of 31.2 Hectares of landandRs.25 lacs, by the textile magnate Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai. It is situated in the heart of Educational Campuses of Gujarat University and very well connected with national-level research institutes such as PRL, ATIRA, IPR, SAC-ISRO, IIMA, and now IITGn. LDCE offers 14 Undergraduate and 17 Postgraduate courses.
