  The Dobbin ranch was chosen in 1967 for what might later be named the Sutherland Campus. In 1973, the initial two periods of the site were opened, and in 1983, the site was named the Sutherland Campus to pay tribute to the school's first and establishing president. The Sutherland Campus went through development, including another nearby home in 2002 and another innovation wing in 2003. St. Joseph's at Fleming,[6] a group of eight inhabitant homes for 200 individuals, opened in 2004 and is the principal long haul care office to be based on a school or college grounds.
