Dhaka National Medical College was established in 1994. The College is a non-profit, non-political organization. Currently, the college has a brand-new eleven-story educational building with adequate facilities. The College is now regarded as one of the best medical schools in Bangladesh.

The Dhaka National Medical University provides many facilities and services to its students. It offers accommodation to all its enrolled students. The college and the attached hospital campus everything is accommodated in one 11 storied building. For the accommodation of International female students, separate floors are sanctioned. To enable the students to learn better, there is also provision for an In-patients ward within the university premises. The library of Dhaka National Medical College is among the best libraries in Bangladesh as it has very comprehensive collections, equipped with the latest technology, a variety of services, user education, service marketing, etc. The university has professionally skilled manpower. The library has a rich collection of more than 6000 textbooks and reference books with the latest edition, 25 local Journals, and 3 International Journals of academic interest. This entire collection of the library plays a role as the backbone for all the research and development activities of the college and it also helps students a lot in their education. The library can accommodate over 100 students at a time. For clinical teaching and training purposes, it has a 650 bedded multidisciplinary hospital complex adjacent to the academic building. For the recreation of students, the college administration shows an equal level of interest towards the cultural activities, festival celebrations, extracurricular activities, and other activities of students.

Hostel Fees
On the college campus, the third floor of the college building is designated for a hostel. It is designated for foreign female students and has space for 226 inpatients. The college also has a 7-story building on the Outside College Premises with space for 298 inpatients. Special 24x7 security is provided at the hostels to ensure the safety and security of female students. Wardens keep an eye on the hostel grounds. The students have well-equipped rooms in the building. As a result, the university provides a safe and peaceful environment for students to study in. The hostel also has indoor and outdoor recreational facilities for students. All students have access to central heating and cooling, as well as laundry facilities and basic furniture such as chairs, tables, and cupboards in these hostels. The approximate monthly accommodation fee is $100 USD.
