About Us

  • All undergraduate and graduate students who are accepted to the Medical College Baroda receive medical education from the institution. Admission to courses in the college is done through a centralised admission process run by the Gujarat government. For admission to the MBBS programs, candidates must take the NEET exam as some UG and PG courses are selected based on merit in the qualifying examination.

  • Medical College Baroda is a medical educational institution for undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies affiliated with the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda's Faculty of Medicine. It is situated in the Raopura district of Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Sir Sayajirao General Hospital is its primary affiliation. Medical College Baroda is a prestigious academic institute under the auspices of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat, located in Vadodara. Its origin can be traced back to the pre-independence period. The former ruler of Baroda: Sir Pratapsingh Gaekwad laid the foundation stone for the college in 1946, and it began operations in June 1949 with a class of 40 students. Sir Sayajirao General Hospital, a tertiary care centre with 1500 beds is attached to the college.

  • About USP
    The infrastructure at the college is well-built and well-maintained. Unlike most medical schools, Medical Faculty Baroda has a hospital that is affiliated with the faculty. The hospital assists candidates with their tutorial and coaching functions wherever they are permitted to practice. The faculty has a well-equipped library with audio and visual equipment. It has a computer research lab. It is well-maintained and contains a plethora of books, references and journals for scholars to supplement their knowledge and academics to keep up to date.

    There are numerous options for campus placements. Government Medical College(GMC), Baroda has a separate training and placement cell that selects bright students and assists them with placement. The College also offers free SSB and other exam preparation.
