About Us

1918
- Taurida University became the first higher education institute of Crimea founded by Solomon Krym.
- Department of Physics and Mathematics as well as Department of Medicine, Yalta started delivering lectures.
1921
- The university was retitled as M.V. Frunze Crimean University following the establishment of the Soviet state.
1920s–early 1930s
- Launched 3 institutes - Medical , Agricultural and Teacher-Training.
20th Century (Various Years)
- Several renowned scientists worked at the university such as Abram Ioffe, Vladimir Vernadsky, Vladimir Palladin,Gleb Frank and Igor Tamm.
2014
- Established V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University on presidential order.
