Silchar Medical College and Hospital, established in 1968, is a government-run medical college cum hospital in Silchar in southern Assam, one of the oldest medical college of North East India.

Silchar Medical College was established in 1968. The college offers MBBS courses in the UG category. Eligibility for this program is 10 + 2 passed and selection is done on the basis of the NEET UG entrance examination. Under the PG and Diploma category, it offers MD and MS courses. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of NEET PG score and to be eligible for these, the candidate must have completed the MBBS course.
