The University of Rajshahi, also known as Rajshahi University, was founded on July 6, 1953. The University is the second-largest in Bangladesh, located in Rajshahi. Rajshahi is located in the northwestern part of Bangladesh, on the green grounds of Motihar, close to the Padma River. The University of Rajshahi has a proud 68-year history of making higher education and research available to a diverse range of students.

The University of Rajshahi is situated around the best sites of Bangladesh and many of the tourists daily explore the Rajshahi city, A metropolitan city located on the north bank of the Padma river. Rajshahi city is well known for its education, culture, administration, and business centers. It’s the historic center of silk production and the home of many renowned educational institutions of Bangladesh.
Rajshahi city is also known as the “green city” as it’s located in the green premises and the environment of that place is very refreshing.
There is a computer center at the university, residence facilities, library facility for the students.
The University has a Rajshahi University Medical Centre situated on the center point of the University. Students & all the family members of the teachers and other employees receive treatment & medical advice here.
The university also provides internet and computing facilities, sports and transport facilities, and a central science lab to its students. These different facilities give students a great educational experience.
The university has a Mental Health Center. At the University of Rajshahi, Physical health matters were given attention since the establishment of the university through medical doctors and now for this purpose, the university possesses a well-developed medical center.
Students studying medicine programs at this university can take part in different student exchange programs, international conferences, etc. as the university has maintained relations with other universities throughout the world.

Hostel Fees
18 residential halls for students. 6 accommodation facilities for women and 11 for men. T1 international dormitory is provided. All rooms are well furnished and equipped with modern amenities. The comfortable accommodation facility is integrated with laundry, gym, and Mess. The canteen prepares cuisine according to the tastes of the students, Indian food is available for Indian students. Nearby stationery, Indian Restaurants, and grocery shops are available for students. The hostel provides 24*7 Internet facilities. A high level of Security is provided round the clock. One common kitchen is available for students to cook their own food.
