  The Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) is established in the Academic Year 2017-18. It is established as a State Private University under Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. XL of 2017 dated 3rd May 2017, with the approval of the UGC and the state Government. Academic Council of SGU governs the rules and regulations for the smooth conduct of academic programs with the approval of Governing Council of SGU, which shall continuously monitor the programs and makes appropriate amendments in the rules and regulations as per requirements whenever required. Various committees constituted as per the act will recommend the curriculum, addition/deletion of courses, assessment system, discipline and conduct of students to AC, to ensure that the quality of upgradation and the relevance of the program are maintained to meet the present changes that are taking place at different levels of higher education system. SGU has constituted its own Academic Council, Academic Advisory Committee, Finance Committee, Library committee, Department under Graduate Committee, Class Committee, Evaluation Committee, Marks Finalization Committee, Mal-Practice Committee, Grievance Redressal Committee, Standing Disciplinary Action Committee, and Hostel Committee etc. All these committees ensure that the university functions as per the norms laid down by the UGC / State Government and such other regulatory bodies.

  The Sanjay Ghodawat University is a State Private University established in the year 2017-18. It was established as a State Private University in 2017, with the approval of State Government and UGC. Academic Council regulates the rules and regulations for the proper functioning of academic programs. Admission in the University is made based on merit. Scores accepted at the institute are National Level Entrance Test (JEE), Other State Level Entrance Test of States, CET, MHTCET, and National Level Entrance Test operated by SGU, Kolhapur. The common entrance exam of SGU is on the basis of specific parameters. Firstly, the candidates should register for SGU CET before the last date. They can apply online as well as offline. For M.Tech programs, SGU CET is on the basis of Multiple Choice Question format for 50 Questions for 100 marks. Candidates who have cleared their CET/ JEE/ GATE do not have to give the entrance test. The Central Library of the University supports the students through a comfortable, safe, and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge. The library focuses on being the leader and partner in bestowing world-class information. It aims to develop and implement ideas, teaching, learning, and services. The library holds 32,600+ books, 100+ Journals and magazines, two e-journal packages that contain 4,000+ e-journals, 12,000+ IIT Video lectures, 50,000+ IIT Web Courses, and 13 News Papers.
