About Us

• Auro University, Surat is a Private University located in Surat City of southern Gujarat. It was founded through the Gujarat Act No. 25th of October 2011. It has been developed and promoted by the JHM group of hotels which has earned a reputation of excellence for itself over the last three decades in building the infrastructure of a high standard in various parts of Surat. The courses are offered by many constituent schools such as the School of Business, School of Information Technology, etc.

• AURO University, founded by the Rama Family, is inspired by the vision and teachings of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and The Mother. It is an environment of collaboration and creativity driven by self-discovery of “Inner Being” that ENCOURAGES, ENABLES, and EMPOWERS students in their INTELLECTUAL, EMOTIONAL, and SPIRITUAL GROWTH. Auro University aims at attaining integrality as its core idea. This seeks to extend to all fields of education, at all levels and nurture it in every walk of life at the university and beyond. It aims at transformative education, the kind which develops evolved individuals — to bring relevance and accountability in the design field when sustainability has become a global challenge. To envisage a driving force that will permeate creative thinking in a fundamental way across schools and various disciplines, Auro University has set up the School of Design at its campus spread over 100 Acres along with its other Schools of Business, Hospitality, Information Technology, Law, Liberal Arts, Journalism & Mass Communication, and Sciences
