Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT), Bangalore is an autonomous engineering institute founded by Late Shri M H Jayaprakash Narayan in the year 1980. The institute is governed by Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust. It is among 15 institutes that receive funds from World Bank under TEQIP. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology has signed MoU with various industries to provide industrial exposure to the students. It provides various graduate and post-graduate courses in the engineering field.

Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology, popularly known as Ambedkar College Bangalore, was established in 1980. Dr AIT Bangalore is affiliated to VTU Belagavi, Karnataka and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. AIT Bangalore offers 11 UG courses and 10 PG courses in the field of Engineering. In addition to this, Ambedkar College Bangalore also has 15 research centers.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Technology Placements 2025Ambedkar College Bangalore has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that facilitates placement-related activities for students that include arranging seminars, conducting written tests, pre-placement talks, etc. A total of 15 companies visited the campus while 217 job offers were made during Ambedkar College placements 2021.

The Campus of the institute is full of lush green fields. The institute owes its library, auditorium, placement cells, etc. The library is spacious with plenty of natural light. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 350 people. There is a placement cell to train students for interviews and presentations.
