  BMS Institute of Technology and Management is located in Bengaluru and was established in 2002. It is accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and recognised by the AICTE, Government of India and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The Institute has been recognised as an "Emerging Technical Institute in the State of Karnataka" by the VTU because of its modern infrastructure, highly qualified and committed faculty, and active industry engagement. It offers several courses such as BE, MCA, MTech MSc and PhD. There are seven VTU recognised research centres in BMSIT Bangalore where 40 research scholars are working in diverse research areas. It also has a Women Empowerment Cell which organises various seminars, workshops and programmes. It has following 12 departments specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, among others.
