About Us

  • Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is a multi-disciplinary university established in 1971 by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, it is a ‘home away from home’ for International students. The University was given "Deemed to be University" status by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2002.

  • Symbiosis International (Deemed University) offers doctoral, post graduate, under graduate, diploma and certificate programmes in Law, Management, Computer Studies, Health Sciences, Media & Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering and Architecture & Design. The university has spread out its branches of Constituents and departments in the form of various colleges/institutes in Pune, Bengaluru, Nashik, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur.

    Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has been awarded Category-I status by UGC, and an ‘A’ grade by NAAC with a score 3.58 on 4. In the residential campuses category, it has been ranked #1 in the country in the ‘Swachh Campus Rankings 2018’, #43by NIRF 2020in India under the Universities Category, #109 in BRICS QS World ranking 2018-19, and is the only Indian university to have received the Asia Pacific Quality Label. Recently, the University has established the Symbiosis Medical College for Women. The medical college and its attached Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre have state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities.
  • Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Pune Placements 2025
    The training and placement cell conduct summer internships and short-term summer projects lasting for two months to six months. Programmes for personality development, group discussions, and grooming sessions are held for students for excelling in placement interviews. For final-year students special training programs are conducted for boosting their technical and soft skills. As per the past records over 70 MNCs representing different sectors of the world of commerce visited the SIU campus for recruiting students.

  • Symbiosis International University offers separate accommodation facilities for male and female students. Every hostel room is well-furnished, well-ventilated and spacious, and comes equipped with an attached bathroom and toilet. Additionally, the entire hostel campus is Wi-Fi and internet compatible and the connectivity is secured via the failsafe firewall. All the hostel blocks have a lounge where students can watch TV, play indoor games, and read newspapers and magazines.
