Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University Admission 2025The Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (Formerly known as North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon) established on 15th August, 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, started its academic and administrative functioning from the academic year 1991-92. Within the span of 3 years, the University is recognized under section 2 (f) in 1991 and 12 (B) in 1994 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The jurisdiction of the University is extended over three districts i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar, a pre-dominantly tribal and rural area of Khandesh region. The University has opened it’s doors of higher education to mostly “first generation learners” of this area. Access, equity and academic excellence are the thrust areas of the University’s educational endeavor.
Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University is situated in Jalgaon in Maharashtra state of India. Established in 1990, it is accredited from UGC, NAAC, MHRD and it is affiliated to North Maharashtra University. NMU, Jalgaon, Jalgaon offers 73 courses across 12 streams namely Engineering, Vocational, Management, Science, Agriculture, Performing Arts, Commerce and Banking, IT, Arts, Media and Mass Communication, Education, Law and across 15 degrees like B.Tech, BSc, BA, BBM, B.Com.Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Auditorium, Computer Lab, Guest house, Gym, Library, Medical Facilities, Sports, Practical Labs, Cafeteria , Laboratories are also there.

The University campus is surrounded by the lush green environment with diverse flora and fauna. The Government of Maharashtra with Social Forestry Department, the local industries, Rural Development and Water Conservation Department, Planning Department, and Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University Jalgaon have announced setting up of a “Bio-Diversity Park” on 100 ha. of land belonging to Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University. The objective are promoting conservation of regional bio-diversity, provide research facilities in biodiversity and spread awareness among the populance regarding importance of biodiversity for mankind. The project will also recommend suitable water conservation and a revitalization of the heritage park at Gandhi Tekdi. The Biodiversity park will include a bio-diversity museum, a butterfly park, a green house, horticultural development through central nursery and an ornamental garden, Orchidarium, a fernarium, visitors galleries, cafeterias, nature trail, bunding and check dams.
