Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Admission 2024Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) was established as an undergraduate institution for an M.B.B.S. degree course on October 10th, 2001 with the intake of 180 medical students annually under Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur C.G. funded by State Govt. of Chhattisgarh. CIMS run by the State Govt under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The old govt. district hospital (Dharam Hospital-350 bedded), Bilaspur C.G. was converted into the CIMS’s hospital with 300 beds and all staffs of district hospital were merged.

Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences was established in 2001. It is affiliated to Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur C.G. funded by the State Govt. of Chhattisgarh. It was run by the state University under the ministry of higher education, govt. of C.G. The college was started with M.B.B.S. with the intake of 100 medical students The old government district hospital (Dharam Hospital-350 bedded), Bilaspur C.G. was converted into the CIMS’s hospital with 300 beds.

These include research in Sickle Cell Therapy in C.G., Herbal Drug usage, Pharmacovigilance in C.G. etc. A set-up for the herbal unit is in the process. A pharmacovigilance centre has been set up and various studies related to it is being carried out like Pharmacovigilance in Herbal Drug and Pharmacovigilance in ART.

Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Hostels 2024
The CIMS College provides an “on-campus” separate hostel facility for Boys and Girls. These hostels are aesthetically designed, complete with Mess and Recreational facilities.
Hostel facilities are available in the CIMS college campus :
1. The Institute runs a hostel each for the boys and girls students.
2. Two hostels including PG Hostels are available & functional in the campus.
3. The hostel buildings with spacious rooms, lounges, recreation room having tv sets in each of the hostels.
4. The girls hostel, with a view to ensure absolute safety of the inmates, is fenced properly & secured.
5. The Student representatives run the mess in the mens’ and womens’ hostel under the supervision and guidance of the warden.
