- The duration of the MBBS course at Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College is 5 years and students will have to complete an internship of 18 months which is mandatory for the students. At this university, the medicine courses are taught in the English language.

The average annual temperature of the city is 26°c & it varies from 19°C in January and 29°C in May.
GB inherited a library from GK is on the fourth floor covering 4,224 square feet. It is two hundred seated and fully air-conditioned. At present, it has about 20,000 books. New titles are included every year to enrich the library. The qualified and experienced faculty at college along with the carefully designed and updated curriculum ensures that the students receive the best education and skills which can help them emerge as qualified professionals. In order to provide students with a quality academic environment, the college has developed all the necessary infrastructural facilities. The hostel lodging at the college has been modernized. Boys and girls are assigned to separate hostels. Students are provided with well-equipped hostel rooms that include an attached kitchen.
