Also popular as ASRAM, the Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences has been founded to meet the requirements of medical education, standard quality patient care as well as clinical research. It is a Private College with full affiliation to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and duly recognized by the Medical Council of India. Situated in Eluru, the Academy has got its name from the renowned freedom fighter Alluri Sitaramaraju. Launched as a non-profit organization, the Academy is situated adjacent to the National Highway number 5. It boasts of air-conditioned galleries for a lecture with state-of-the-art teaching methods as well as 24 hours of internet access free of cost. The college provides some valuable Medical Courses in various disciplines and specializations at many levels.

The Alluri Sitarama Raju Educational Society is established in 1998 as a charitable trust/society to promote good health and medical education in West Godavari Dist, Eluru. The Society is established Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences Popularly known as ASRAM College, Asram College of Nursing and Para Medical Courses College from the inception.

ASRAM Medical College Library was spread in an area of 4000 square Mts on Four floors. The library has a collection of 19,017 books. A sufficient number of Journals in various disciplines is available ie 75 Indian Journals and 46 Foreign Journals are accommodated in the journal section of the Central Library. In addition to the Central Library, 600 online Journals have access to Dr.N.T.R UHS E-Journals (NTRMEDNET) Programme from which all the journals of choice can be accessed. The Central Library has sufficient copies of relevant books to the section libraries.
The Library is fully Air-conditioned. The library also has Internet facilities with 58 Computers, CDs and Cassettes. It has Xerox facilities for staff and students. The library works throughout the year including Sundays and Public Holidays. On working days the library works round the clock. On Public holidays and Sundays, Library works from 09.00 AM to 1.00 A.M (Midnight).

Hostel Fees
The Male students and female students are having separate Hostels with attached kitchens and Dining Halls. There is a separate Air-conditioned Hostel to accommodate NRI students. All the Hostels are having 24 hours water supply and Electricity. The food prepared in the kitchens is wholesome and tasty. A wide range of cuisine is available.
